Stand with UpValley: Give to Strengthen Our Community
Every day, families in our community face unexpected challenges— whether it’s a lost job, a sudden rent increase, or the need for immigration support. UpValley Family Centers is here, providing trusted resources and connections. Your support ensures that families don’t face these challenges alone. Stand with us in creating a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Every Contribution Matters. Your gift of any size or kind can make a transformational impact on our community.
The most impactful gift you can make is an unrestricted gift for General Support — allowing us to meet urgent needs as they arise and build long-term stability for UpValley families. When you give, you’re ensuring families can access essential resources, no matter what challenges come their way.
Want to make your donation recurring? Join our community of reliable givers committed to ensuring a future of opportunity. Recurring gifts provide the stability we need to be here for our clients month after month. Set up a recurring gift online by checking the “Make this a monthly recurring donation” box.

Other Ways to Give
Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)
A Donor-Advised Fund allows you to give when you can, and grant when it’s needed. It allows you to make a charitable contribution to your fund, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants from your fund over time. You can contribute to your fund as frequently as you like, and recommend grants at any time that feels right.
UpValley Family Centers gladly accepts grants made through Donor-Advised Funds. Like any donation, your grant can be designated to be used wherever the need is greatest, or for specific program areas that you choose to support.
Clients of Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, and BNY Mellon can easily make a designation through the DAF Direct button to the right. Clients with a Donor-Advised Fund at one of the Community Foundations in our region can click on the relevant link to be taken to their donor portals.
For more information about making a gift through a Donor-Advised Fund, please reach out to Cambria Kirby at [email protected]
Stock Gifts & Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)
Donate Stock or Securities
A gift of appreciated stock can provide significant tax advantages while making a powerful difference for those we serve. Contact Cambria Kirby, Development Director at [email protected] for easy transfer instructions.
Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)
If you are age 70½ or older, you can give directly from your IRA to satisfy all or part of your required minimum distribution (RMD). Contact your IRA administrator and inform them that you’d like to make a QCD to UpValley Family Centers.
Planned Giving
By making a planned gift to UVFC, you ensure that we can continue to be here for generations to come – and you leave a legacy that will transform thousands of lives, right here in our community.
A planned or legacy gift is a donation made from your estate, and – as the name suggests – is often part of a long-term plan for your assets.
A planned gift can be outright (such as gifts of appreciated securities, property, real estate, and so on) or deferred (such as a bequest in your will, or a beneficiary designation for a life insurance policy or charitable trust).
The gift can be made to support the UpValley Family Centers’ full scope of services, or in support of a specific program.

HOLIDAY AND EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Winter is always a tough time for workers in Napa’s wine and hospitality industry: as harvest comes to an end, work hours and jobs dry up. We provide holiday and emergency financial assistance to those needing a little extra to cover the cost of food and rent during the winter months when seasonal work in the valley has slowed. We also provide gifts and food for a holiday meal to families and individuals though a county-wide coalition.
Monetary donations are needed most during this time. Your donation will help bring upvalley families some holiday cheer and lift the spirits of our families, older adults, and the community as a whole. To make a donation for Holiday and Emergency Assistance, please select “Holiday and Emergency Assistance” under the “Designate my donation for” section on the donation form above or write it in the memo of a check mailed to UpValley Family Centers at 1440 Spring Street, St. Helena, CA 94574.
