Economic Success Program Manager

UpValley Family Centers (UVFC) seeks an exceptional, results-oriented Economic Success Program Manager to support the growth of our financial and adult education services, and to develop new/emerging workforce and business development services. The Economic Success Manager will manage a range of activities including our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, adult education and workforce/business development partnerships, supervising staff in their work connecting families with safety net services. The Program Manager will oversee our Economic Success services at our offices in Calistoga and St. Helena, and assist in developing partnerships with public and private organizations. The Program Manager supervises four program staff who deliver economic success services and facilitate connection to resources. The Economic Success Program Manager reports to UVFC’s Program Director.

Program Associate, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program

The Program Associate supports our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program. The Associate helps manage trained community volunteers and works closely with site managers to offer free income tax preparation services. The Associate will receive training and become certified by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). They will help volunteers, answer client questions, provide quality assurance for the VITA program, and directly serve clients (interview, tax preparation and quality review). The Program Associate reports to the Economic Success Program Coordinator. This is an in-person, site-based position. The schedule for this position will be Tuesday-Friday afternoons/evenings and Saturdays during the day.

Student Wellness Specialist, Wellness Coach II

The Student Wellness Specialist is stationed on the St. Helena High School campus and provides support for the St Helena High School Wellness Center including planning, organizing, coordination and supervision of prevention education programs for students and their families to address non-academic problems that interfere with the students’ ability to be successful in school. The Student Wellness Specialist greets and triages students; serves as a liaison with community providers, and provides organizational support for wellness-related services, school events and partnerships; schedules student appointments, connects students to the Student Assistance Program; collects documentation and keeps track of data. A Certified Wellness Coach (CWC) is a state-certified profession established by California’s Department of Health Access and Information as part of the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative. The role of the CWC is to offer prevention and early intervention services to support the behavioral health and well-being of children and youth. CWC qualifications include but are not limited to, psychoeducation, system navigation, crisis de-escalation, safety planning, coping skills, and motivational interviewing. CWCs engage and support children and youth in cultural, linguistic, and age-appropriate services, with the ability to refer and link to higher levels of care, as needed.

UpValley Family Centers – Neighbor 2 Neighbor AmeriCorps Member

The Napa County Office of Education is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Neighbor 2 Neighbor (N2N) AmeriCorps Members serving with the UpValley Family Centers. UpValley Family Center’s mission is to provide guidance, support and resources in the community, in the home, and for the individual, so that everyone can achieve a better life. In this role, you will have the opportunity to serve your community by developing programs that build the capacity of nonprofits and government agencies (Partner Sites) to build thriving and connected neighborhoods that support each other through challenges. Serving at their Partner Sites, members will create the infrastructure needed for neighborhood leader engagement including developing neighborhood leader programs and position descriptions, creating hours and events tracking mechanisms, defining neighborhood connection activities, creating program policies and procedures, increasing community partnerships, and establishing neighborhood leader outreach, training, orientation and support materials and presentations.

The Youth Program Wellness Coach I, CLARO supports the well-being of youth through individual and group services and coordination of prevention activities. The Coordinator leads a weekly mentoring group called CLARO (Challenging Latinos to Access Resources and Opportunities) for adolescent boys in middle and high school, and works in alignment with the Youth Program Coordinator for CLARA (adolescent girls). A Certified Wellness Coach (CWC) is a state-certified profession established by California’s Department of Health Access and Information as part of the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative. The role of the CWC is to offer prevention and early intervention services to support the behavioral health and well-being of children and youth. CWC qualifications include but are not limited to, psychoeducation, system navigation, crisis de-escalation, safety planning, coping skills, and motivational interviewing.
