Emergency Assistance
Emergency Assistance
Our Emergency Assistance Program provides support for local individuals and families in times of crisis. Aid can come in the form of tangible goods, or in monetary aid. While our funding is limited, we also can help identify other resources that may be available.
COVID-19 Emergency Financial Assistance
UpValley Family Centers UpValley Family Centers is providing emergency aid for low- to moderate-income workers who face financial hardship resulting from the economic impact of the coronavirus. Aid is available to workers who live in Napa County, whose income is at or below 120% of Area Median Income, and who do not qualify for government sponsored unemployment or paid family leave benefits.

This aid is available regardless of immigration status and will not be considered under public charge rules.
Case Managers will call individuals back in the order that inquiries are received to assess household needs and eligibility. Next steps, including any required documentation, will also be discussed during this call.

We have staff available to provide domestic violence counseling to individuals upvalley. Please call our office to speak with a domestic violence counselor.
We also partner closely with NEWS to support to women victims of domestic violence. If you have an emergency, call the NEWS 24-hour crisis line: 707-255-NEWS(6397). All services are free and confidential.
Parenting Education
Triple P
Our trained Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) providers provide fun, interactive presentations, covering topics that range from preschooler bedtime issues to coping with teenagers’ emotions and managing aggression.
Triple P is a proven parenting program for parents of children ages 2-12 that increases parenting skills and parenting confidence by engaging, encouraging and empowering families to address common child and adolescent social, emotional and behavioral problems.

Family Support Groups
In partnership with Mentis, we offer Parenting Couples Support Groups once a year in both Calistoga and St. Helena.
Senior Services
Senior Services
We provide information & guided referrals, case management, connection to caregiving resources, and linkages to medical and mental health services.
We host social activities and senior-focused educational and health workshops specifically for seniors living in Calistoga as well as regular presentations and fun events at Calistoga’s mobile home parks – including art activities, brain fitness classes, and gardening projects.
Our Senior Services team can help you locate and identify resources that you or a family member might be eligible for including State Disability, In-home Supportive Services, Medi-Cal, Medicare, and more.

Referrals & Application Assistance
Community Health Initiative
Community Health Initiative (CHI) appointments are available Upvalley during open enrollment season.
CHI assists all Napa County residents to enroll in health insurance including Medi-Cal, Covered California, Private Individual and Family Plans and Medicare.
For eligibility, they serve all ages and all incomes regardless of immigration status. There are no fees for their services.
MediCal & CalFresh application assistance
Medi-Cal and CalFresh application assistance is available at our Washington Street office (1705 Washington Street, Suite G, Calistoga, CA 9451).
Any renewals for Medi-Cal may be completed and faxed from our St. Helena center (1440 Spring Street, St. Helena, CA 94574) to Health and Human Services Agency.
Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program
WIC (Women, Infants and Children) is a national nutrition education program that promotes healthy eating, encourages and supports breastfeeding, and provides referrals to health and community resources.
Available in St. Helena at the Presbyterian Church (1428 Spring Street) on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays.
Available in Calistoga at our Family Center office site (1500 Cedar Street) on the 2nd and 4th Mondays.
