Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)

A Donor-Advised Fund allows you to give when you can, and grant when it’s needed. It allows you to make a charitable contribution to your fund, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants from your fund over time. You can contribute to your fund as frequently as you like, and recommend grants at any time that feels right.

UpValley Family Centers gladly accepts grants made through Donor-Advised Funds. Like any donation, your grant can be designated to be used wherever the need is greatest, or for specific program areas that you choose to support.

Right now, donors with a Donor-Advised Fund have an opportunity to make an even bigger impact by participating in the #HalfMyDAF Challenge. Anyone with a DAF who makes a grant to us, and who commits to granting half the money from their DAF to nonprofits of their choice before September 30th, puts UVFC in the running for a matching grant of up to $100,000. You can learn more about the #HalfMyDAF Challenge at halfmydaf.com.

Clients of Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, and BNY Mellon can easily make a designation through the DAF Direct window to the right. Clients with a Donor-Advised Fund at one of the Community Foundations in our region can click on the relevant link to be taken to their donor portals.
