DONATE

Invest in a future of opportunity

Our work is made possible by generous support from Foundation and Government funders, local and regional businesses, service clubs, and hundreds of individual donors.

Your gift allows thousands of vulnerable families and individuals in Napa’s upvalley community to access the resources they need to be stronger, healthier, and happier. Because when our most vulnerable neighbors do better, our entire community becomes stronger.

Every Contribution Matters. Your gift of any size or kind can make a transformational impact on our community.

Want to make your donation recurring? Monthly recurring gifts make a big impact on our work: they provide us with the stability we need to be here for our clients week after week, year after year.

A monthly donation is a valuable investment in the long- term success of our work, and the health of our community.

Donations by check can be sent to:

Other Ways to Give

Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)

A Donor-Advised Fund allows you to give when you can, and grant when it’s needed. It allows you to make a charitable contribution to your fund, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants from your fund over time. You can contribute to your fund as frequently as you like, and recommend grants at any time that feels right.

UpValley Family Centers gladly accepts grants made through Donor-Advised Funds. Like any donation, your grant can be designated to be used wherever the need is greatest, or for specific program areas that you choose to support.

Clients of Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, and BNY Mellon can easily make a designation through the DAF Direct button to the right. Clients with a Donor-Advised Fund at one of the Community Foundations in our region can click on the relevant link to be taken to their donor portals.

Planned Giving

By making a planned gift to UVFC, you ensure that we can continue to be here for generations to come – and you leave a legacy that will transform thousands of lives, right here in our community.

A planned or legacy gift is a donation made from your estate, and – as the name suggests – is often part of a long-term plan for your assets.

A planned gift can be outright (such as gifts of appreciated securities, property, real estate, and so on) or deferred (such as a bequest in your will, or a beneficiary designation for a life insurance policy or charitable trust).

The gift can be made to support the UpValley Family Centers’ full scope of services, or in support of a specific program.

To learn more about planned giving, contact Cambria Kirby at ckirby@upvalleyfamilycenters.org

Donate your mandatory IRA withdrawals to UpValley Family Centers!

If you own an IRA and are 70 ½ or older, you can donate your mandatory withdrawals to UVFC: up to $100,000 is tax-free.

Stock Gifts & Wire Transfers

We accept gifts of stock and cash via wire/electronic transfer. Please contact us to learn more; we’d be happy to provide you with our account numbers and any other information you may need.

In-Kind Gifts

Gift Cards

Gift cards are a wonderful way to support our clients. Most useful are cards that can be redeemed at department stores or other multi-purpose retailers.

Donated Items

UVFC can only accept donated items (such as furniture, clothing, or household necessities) on an as-needed basis, as we don’t have the capacity to store such items. If you are interested in donating an item, please email Cambria Kirby at ckirby@upvalleyfamilycenters.org

HOLIDAY AND EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Winter is always a tough time for workers in Napa’s wine and hospitality industry: as harvest comes to an end, work hours and jobs dry up. We provide holiday and emergency financial assistance to those needing a little extra to cover the cost of food and rent during the winter months when seasonal work in the valley has slowed. We also provide gifts and food for a holiday meal to families and individuals though a county-wide coalition.

Holiday cheer lifts up our families, older adults, and the community as a whole and your donation will help bring upvalley families some holiday cheer this December.
